Tumbleweeds Tour 40

Happy Campers

We really can’t thank you (readers, twitter followers, friends, and families) enough for the support you generously provided during our transcontinental (!) bike tour. When we were tired, hungry, cold, and battling headwinds it meant a lot to know that somewhere people cared about us. We hope that you enjoyed following us as much as we enjoyed your support.

But life marches on. All four Tumbleweeds are in their respective homes, whether Austin, Boston, Iowa City, or Washington, DC, and all of us are engaged in, or searching for, our next big challenge.

If you’d like to get in touch with us, please e-mail us at tumbleweedstour@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.

The tour was better than we ever could have hoped. We’ll see you out there.

Thanks again!

We Made It

Cold, but comfortable

Cold, but comfortable

So 49 Days and 3,419 miles later we completed our goal and arrived safe and sound on the shores of the Atlantic.

The trip exceeded all of our expectations: never before had we been a part of something that was simultaneously so hard and easy, snowy and scorching, way too long and way too short.

The end is bittersweet. Yes, we are excited to see our families, friends, fiances, and girlfriends, but it’s strange to be back in the real world without the other three guys.

So as we head off in our various directions the last thing we can think to do is to thank all those who supported us, donated to Project Rwanda, and talked to us along the way. It really was the human interaction that made this trip so great and kept us going. The people we met along the way were some of the most generous, kind, and supportive we’ve ever met. This trip really made us all better Americans.

In the coming weeks we’ll be sorting through the mountains of photos, video footage, and journal entries, the best of which we’ll share with you.

Thanks Again!
