This is awesome! I wish you guys the best of luck. If you change your route and come through St. Louis let me know. I work at a bike shop so if you needed some gear or your bikes tuned up I could help out. I could hook you up with some food and showers too. Good luck and I will send a donation. Look forward to following your progress.

This is so awesome! Too bad you guys aren’t venturing through KY. If you were, my friends and I could follow behind you on our bikes and create a scene straight out of Forrest Gump. Cheers to cycling and cheers to your adventure!

uh, awesome!
I just discovered that you all are doing this, and I am so so excited for you. last summer I rode my bike across america to raise funds and awareness for Blood:Water Mission. It took us 7 weeks, and we rode the southern route. We wore Project Rwanda jerseys and I loved them. I think this is so great what you are doing, and I will be following you. Our tour was called the Ride:Well Bike Tour and they are doing it again this year (different people). Such an amazing, inexplainable, life changing experience. Can I come with? -
Heard about this from my Davidson daughter, Katherine Johnson-Reid. Sounds great. We are in Chicago (Abigail, also Davidson, is also). Would be happy to feed, put you guys up or provide other support.

Here in Huntsville, we are all excitied for your adventure. Too bad you’re not biking through Birmingham so I (Laura) can show off my nationally recognized poster making skills. Best of luck, the youngest kettle
If you would come through Alabama I would feed you a good meal. Do you all have disability insurance????? Here’s to hoping you don’t need it!!! Love, Mama

John,
Your Dad told me about your adventure. When you get to Eastern Oregon contact me I’ll give you some info about local points of interest, spots, etc.
You’ll probably be within 7 miles of my mountain place where I spend time in the summer and fall.

right on brother-so proud of you!

Ben and Company,
I still think you guys are absolutely nuts! I could barely drive cross country much less cycle. It will be an amazing accomplishment for your charity and your spirit. Congrats on having the courage to tackle such a huge challange.
Best,
Radey

Dan and Friends,
You guys are an inspiration! This must have taken an incredible amount of planning and preparation. We are all proud to know you and impressed by your charity (I am actually having my students view your website today because we just finished a literature unit on people living in poverty, and the students are interested in how they can help. I will encourage them to donate to your website…maybe even some extra credit points if they do…). Have fun and be careful! (do you have mirrors on your bikes? and reflectors?….for safety….I worry…..

WORD! This is incredible. If you guys need to crash in Chicago, Dan has my number.
Safe pedaling, guys, give ‘em hell.

Ryan, We met your parents at breakfast at the Bayberry Inn in Ashland this morning! They told us about your cross country trek! I’m sure you must know about the Adventure Cycling Association with their headquarters in Missoula, MT. If not, here is their phone number: 1-800-755-2453. They are one of the best resources anyone could have on a trip like this! You will find a lot of great people, all kinds of people, bicyclists and non-bicyclists, who will help you out all the way across. I have a lot of family and friends in the Chicagoland area, so if you guys need any help, I’m sure they would be more than willing. The best of luck to all of you! Al and Jimneta

This looks absolutely amazing… can’t wait to hear about it when we are both in Boston this fall. Good luck, safe traveling, and if you come anywhere near your ancestral home of Katonah, Aunt Nina and Uncle Jeff will be more than happy to feed you guys. ~ryan’s cousin alice

Right on “Alvin,” and the best of luck to you all from your old third grade teacher Mr. B.

Enjoyed the visit we had at the Vale Post Office. My twin boys were very interested in your home states and that you would ride across the US. Have a safe trip and hope to hear from you along the way. Hope you enjoyed Eastern Oregon and your overnight in Vale.

I love this. Got it from a friend of Jon Miller. I do work in Rwanda and I love that you are supporting the purchase of more bikes for the coffee growers. Coffee is one of the main exports from Rwanda and they are determined to build that business and increase their in house economic situation. Currently only 13% of the governments budget is generated from businesses and tourism within the country. You are doing your part, from a long distance, for a long distance, with big hearts and hopefully great results.
Power on!I hope that your next trip will be in Rwanda. It is a safe and interesting and wonderful place to explore and travel.
-
Enjoyed having you here. All who met you were impressed and in awe of what you are doing. Continued blessings on your trip cross country.

do you have estimated dates for each location so I can let people know?

Hey, are you guys going to pass through CT at all? If so, when and where? Andrew would love to see his Uncle Ryan in action….
